Another PSE 7 Question

I'm trying to make a template and I want to save all the individual elements as png files. How do I cut everything out of the background, including the blank space? Right now I have a 12x12 canvas with an element in the middle. I'd like to get out the rest of the canvas and just have the element. Does that make sense?

Just turn off the visiblity of all the others layers, crop it to your element, do a save as .png. Then hit the back button (undo) so that it takes away the cropping back to your original file.

Thanks...it was the cropping I couldn't figure out, lol, but now I have it!
