My name is Jodi and I am a 30 year (in Nov.) old SAHM to Rebekah Rain, my pride and joy. She will be 2 in Dec. My husband and I met when we were 14 and we got married when I was 22 and he was 23. We were both born the same year, he just turned 23 the month we got married. We started dating in December 2000, got engaged in May (after I graduated college), and married in August 2001. We celebrated our 7 year anniversary this past August. When we decided to try for a baby we didn't know if we could even have children. My husband was given a 10% chance of having children when he was younger because he had a hernia surgery. I was told it would be difficult to get pregnant. So we tried for a year and then turned to fertility. We tried that for about another year and then decided to take a break. Meanwhile I went to my church's healing rooms for prayer. When we went back to the fertility clinic to start treatments again (after 2 months of taking a break) they set me up with everything I would need and I just had to wait till after my cycle to start the treatments. Less than a week later I found out I was pregnant.
Ginger and I met on CafeMom and she invited me to be on her CT. I was so thrilled and honored that she liked my LO's enough to ask me to join her team. Thanks again Ginger! Your kits rock!

Hi Jodi..

Your story sounds alot like a friends of mine,.. they always knew they would have to use fertility help though, her husband had testicular cancer as a teenager. When they tried the first few times it did not work and it emotionally it was very trying, so they adopted from Russia. Gabe will be turning 4 soon and they decided to give it another try and they got pregnant right away this time. They always say once the pressure to conceive is off, it often happens all on its own.
