I know we have a general recipe thread, but I'm looking for your favorite crock pot recipes. We are wanting to start utilizing ours more. We are thinking of getting one with a timer because we are gone about 10 hour a day most week days.

So let me have them. :)

Paleo chili! I used to make chili all the time but this is a Paleo version.

I found a decent base recipe which the pin links to, but in the pin comments I noted how I changed it so it has a lot of veggies, but it's not like a veggie soup. It's hearty, meaty and warm--perfect for the chilly weather coming in! I keep it strictly Paleo, but some cheese on top and cornbread on the side would be phenomenal. :)

Crockpot Swiss Steak

2lb beef
1 can Italian Diced Tomatoes
1lb carrots (sliced, diced or shredded thinly)
cup brown sugar

Slice beef thinly into serving size portions.
Mix all other ingredients together in crock pot and add beef.
Cook on low 4 hours
Serve with rice or noodles and vegetable of choice.

(my little boys don't eat the sauce but still eat the beef so I add extra beef and there is still enough liquid to cook properly)

Chicken and rice
1 cup rice
1 can each cream of mushroom (or cream of chicken), and cream of celery soup
1 can water (use soup can)
mix together in crock pot
Tuck in chicken so that it is covered
cook on low 6-8 hours

(I don't like this one but all the kids eat it, the rice isn't the right texture for me)

I don't have any favorite besides the normal beef stew type meal. I haven't had the best luck with chicken as it always seems to have the same texture.
