I had someone message me the other day asking if we could switch the book club polls back to the previous schedule (so that a new poll is posted in the 1st, closes on the 15th and we start reading the chosen book on the 1st day of the next month). They said they like to do most of their books in paper form, and finding the book to purchase from the store, or reserving from the library can take then a week or so. I'm honestly fine, either way, but said I'd ask for votes with this month's poll - so when you cast your our next book, can you please state whether you prefer the polls run 1st-15th or 15th-30th. Thanks! :)

Oooohh the books selection this month are awesome. I can't decide between The Shack, The Witch's Daughter, and Before I Fall.

Hehe, sorry you're struggling to pick between a few of the books...BUT...I'm glad they sound good to you! :D

I like the 1st-15 so I can put the book on hold at my library. :)

Thanks, Tammy! I certainly have no problem starting the book polls early in the month -- was just worried that by starting early, maybe some would forget to pick up a copy of the book and read along with us. :)

I'll remember. :) I'm addicted to reading. Giggle.

That's fine, Jacque. Though, if you would be interested in reading a book with us (or sharing a book with us that you loved), you're welcome to make some book suggestions in the threads in this forum area: HERE (http://forums.gingerscraps.net/forumdisplay.php?646-Book-Club-Recommendations)

My problem is I would probably be reading everything early and finish like on the 1st day of February. LOL.

Ok I voted :) I actually already read Before I Fall.... And I just bought The Shack about 2 weeks ago, so that was an easy vote for me. Since I already have the book but have not yet started it :)

We shall see though... if The Shack is not picked then I will pick up whichever is.

I'm fine with whatever date works for everyone else for the decision on the book. I always finish my current book before I start reading our book club book because I don't want to waste all that time switching between books in my Nook. That doesn't mean I can't pick up the paperback, but the Nook is easier on my eyes!

I'm kind of excited about the voting results so far. I was a bit worried about adding the two bottom books (they just felt so different from things we've read here before, so wasn't sure how they would be received). Just a few more days to vote - and whatever's chosen, I can't wait to get started reading! :)

Oh I hope it's the Witch's Daughter! I just bought that book like a week ago! Can't wait to start reading!

I don't know if it's the same for Kindle, but I picked up The Witch's Daughter for Nook last night for $2.99

Yes ma'am, same price for the Nook! :) I try not to let price sway my choices, for the most part (because with lending and libraries and such, you don't always have to buy each book)...BUT, I do try to put at least one choice on the poll each month that's 5 or under, just to make it a little easier. :)

I hadn't seen the price when I voted. I seriously just voted because I liked the title. We are quite fond of witches in my family! ;) LOL

Oh wow thanks for the price info. I just got it at Amazon for that price.

I didn't look at the price when I voted, but it was a pleasant surprise. I want to read that one whether or not it is selected, but since it was looking like it will, I wanted it on the Nook for as soon as I finish the one I'm reading.

I'm trying so hard to read with you guys but I'm such a slow reader. Voted for the Shack. I like to take the books out from the library even though I do have a nook and kindle but just don't have the extra money to purchase books. I vote for 1-15 as well.

The book has been chosen and the poll has been closed. I can't WAIT to start reading this month's book with you! :)
