View Full Version : Virus Warning st at GS Store?
I just tried to go to the store and got this message:
store.gingerscraps.net contains content from www.5stardigitalscrapbooking.com, a site known to distribute malware. Your computer might catch a virus if you visit this site.
Anyone get a virus warning? Is it a problem that is getting fixed?

Weird, it didn't at first for me, but is now doing it after I opened a new tab with the site.

It's not GS that has the malware it's the other site- but I believe there is a link on GS to 5star which is why we're getting the warning...

I can't fix the store, but I believe I fixed the blog.

I also noticed- if you're using Chrome that's why you have the problem. IE and other browser users aren't having this problem. (Love Google!)

Okay this is SUPER weird... I've been posting to this thread from my computer but no one else replies showed up, but they show up when I view the thread on my phone- and MY computer posts don't show up (on phone)
Wth.

Am I really posting on two threads?
I'm losing my mind.
I'm also not wearing glasses.
And I haven't had coffee.

Stephen will remove the tracker later. He thought he removed it from all the spots already but he must have missed one :)

The top sites are notorious for them ... they get hacked easily, and anyone can add a link to them :(

I think because Google is so "strict"? (read: AWESOME) that anyone using Chrome has problems- Missi, you using IE (yuck :-P <3 hehe ) doesn't give you any issues.

I've got all the links removed, I believe.
Chrome has a built in Malware warning. IE & Firefox do not. Chrome is giving you a warning that is detected it & lets you decide if you want to proceed. IE & FF don't, so you can still get it if you are using them. The issue is still there if you are using IE & FF, not just Chrome.
