Hello beautiful scrappers!!
Starting July 1st 2012 we will have a new challenge reward system!!

Rules-


Challenges run from the 1st day of the month to the last day of the month, any LO's posted after the last day of the challenge month will not count towards any rewards.
All challenges layouts must have at least 50% of GS products - Daily Download and Welcome wagon counts.
Here is a few examples of the % guidelines-
A full size kit (50-100%)
A template (40%)
1 mini kit (30-100%)
One paper pack (30%)
Element pack (40%)
1 Alpha (20%)
1 set of word art (10%)
Speed Scraps and Chats DO NOT count towards your challenge rewards (of course your host will usually provide fun goodies for all attending their SS or Chat)
Every challenge must have a unique LO. Meaning, you can not use the same LO for more then 1 challenge.
You are responsible for tracking your completed challenges, find the monthly racking thread in the "Cookie Jar" (http://forums.gingerscraps.net/forumdisplay.php?469-Cookie-Jar), and follow the guidelines.
Rewards-


Completing 1-6 challenges= $2.00 coupon to the GS Buffet (http://store.gingerscraps.net/GingerScraps-Buffet/)(any month/ any buffet)
Completing 7-13 challenges= $4.00 coupon to the GS Buffet (http://store.gingerscraps.net/GingerScraps-Buffet/) (any month/ any buffet)
Completing 14 or more challenges= $5.00 Gift Certificate (expires 30 days after issues) You can use your Gift Card on ANYTHING you would like in the GS shop. (http://store.gingerscraps.net/)

I understand (and agree) that the same layout cannot be used for two challenges, but what about two page layouts? Can I use one side for one challenge and the other side for a different one? thanks!

Sure Mary-Lynn, as long as they are 2 unique layouts, that's not a problem.

I'm not sure if this is the correct thread to post a question about the 50% rule but I thought I would start here. How much of a layout is a template considered to be? If a template and kit are used is it 50/50 or a different split? Or, if template, word art, and kit are used what ratio would that be. Due to being new to this forum, I don't have a ton of stuff from here yet so I'm mixing my stash a little until I'm able to pick up some more stuff but want to make sure I follow the guidelines too.

Oooh, really good questions, Becki. I was wondering the same thing.

Also, it looks like I saw this question partly answered, but I still need clarification .... if a kit was purchased from a GS designer from a different store, it was said that it would count. But, what if THAT kit isn't in the store? I had a few of those last month where I didn't think it counted for points because that particular kit wasn't in the store, although the designer is here. So, I guess the question is does the kit have to be in the GS store, no matter where it was purchased, for it to count, OR can we use any kits by designers and have them count for challenges?

The answer is yes and yes :)
Products from GS designers always count, they can be from the GS shop , another shop they sell at, their blog, Facebook... Basically anywhere. As long as it's created by a GS designer you can use it on your challenge LOs :)

ginger this is AWESOME info because i've never known either. would it be possible to make this info available on its own as a sticky for people to find????

All of it not just one part...and any other pertinent info which could also be added to later. :)
