Does anyone here crochet?

My BFF's little girl is turning 1 and her party is this weekend! I can't believe she will be 1!
Anyway I am making her a hair clip holder. Kinda like this one but not as fancy lol. http://little-inspirations.blogspot.com/2011/02/my-latest-bow-frames.html
I haven't decided if I am going to do the backing or not although I WANT to, I don't have fabric for it yet. I am also making barrettes to put on it. I have already given her a heart a flower and a shamrock. I might have given her more but I can't remember.
Anyway her party theme is strawberries so I am making her a crochet strawberry barrette. That's what I do, I make crochet barrettes. The only problem is that I couldn't find any strawberry patterns that I liked (too big, too bulky or just looked bad) so I made one of my own. The base turned out great but I am so stuck on the top. I can't seem to make a pattern for the top.
Anyone have any ideas for me?

Very cute. I have crocheted since I was a teenager, some many things can be created. The strawberry barrett will be cute with the darker green leaves like in the second example. If you have any verigated(sp) green it might give a bit more depth. I do like the clip board example you posted. Keep this old craft alive!

I've tried learning. I always end up messing up. I should dust off my hooks and try again some day.

I bought yarn and new hooks and they just sit in the buffet drawer. I really should learn again!

I do very little. My husband actually was the one who taught me. Anyway, that is REALLY cute! I do like the 2nd strawberry's leaves better than the 1st. You have to show other clips that you have made.... please please please! I need a reason to do some fun stuff like this. I'm sick of making blankets that have a wavy edge!
