View Full Version : Hello from the hill of Kentucky

Hi, my name is Jan and I have lived in Kentucky since 1995. I still claim, Fort Walton Beach, Florida as
my hometown. I am a 56 year old grandma to 7 beautiful grand daughters. Yep, no boys. DH and I have
three daughters and an adopted in son (he is only 14 years younger than me, but I played the mom
role in his wedding and love him like a real son.)
I married my husband Steven in 1990 after I was widowed, in 1988, at the age of 33.
I also lost my 11 year old son at the same time. Life goes on and my daughter and I survived.

I have been digi-scrapping since it first made an appearance on the web, way back in 2003. We thought
we were making really great layouts back then. NOT. The quality of the kits have come a long way
in 9 years. I really need to purge my many (5) external hard drives and redo my older layouts.
I CT for Jen Yurko and love her to pieces. Her kits always "talk" to me. I get so much inspiration from
her kits and my photos.
I was looking for a new digi home and following Jen here. So glad I did.
I look forward to getting to know you all.
Off to work on some challenges. :)

Wow your story/intro is so amazing! I can't imagine the trials you and your family have gone through to overcome where you are now! I too was around in digi's early years and it is wild to see how far digital really came! Do you remember back when it was a major "no no" to scan in something? Now its done all the time and people dont want anything digitally created?! Time changes all, especially in the digi world!!

Great to see you here and get to know you better!!
