Week 1! 2012! It's here!! 1/1-1/7

This is our first challenge of 2012! Who is ready to take on the 365/52 challenge? I have done it 3 years in a row now. I love it.
So for this first week...take your pictures. One a day. It's really that easy. Join us for inspiration and support. It's much more fun to do this project together!
One thing I have learned is that there are many ups and downs during the year. You might have a really bad day...but the thing is..you can always find something nice to take a picture of. When you have the whole year of pictures and journaling to look back on, it's really an amazing thing.
I'm excited to get started again.
This year Jan 1st is a Sunday. So our weeks will be Sun to Sat!

I do have a new set of templates in the store (http://store.gingerscraps.net/Simplify-Your-365-Templates.html)this year. A new look. I wanted to simplify my LOs. Just focus on the photos and the journaling.
So, I designed these Simplify Your 365 Templates (http://store.gingerscraps.net/Simplify-Your-365-Templates.html).
Not only are there layers for your photos, but I also added a place to put the days of the week and the date!
Everything is here for you! Just add your photos and papers!
You CAN do project 365!

That's what I do.
Heck, most computers have a webcam, and pretty much all phones out there take pictures. Even if you can't text, most of them can save to a computer without issue, so there's no real reason someone can't do it :D

I've done a screen cap, before, when I've done mostly looking at a computer screen, working on things :D So, really, it's feasible, and pretty easy :D

Here's my first week. My background paper is white so it kind of blends in with the forum! This year I've decided to do 8.5x11 so I can print it out myself. I also decided to make it as simple and flexible as possible. I plan on using minimal embellishments and paper and not forcing myself to have a picture a day - in case I happen to miss a day I won't have to stress about it!

I'm not sure if this counts as 50% GS product but either way I can't wait to post my pages here!! The templates are not GS and the word art on pg 2 is not either :D

Hi all... I'm so excited to post my first layout for Project 365/52 Challenge!
I know I suppose to keep it simple, but I can't resist the temptation to scrap using this gorgeous paper in this collab kit....

I will be using Bahasa Indonesia for this project and this is the English translation :
01/01. The kids cooked instant noddle together, plus Acha learned how to make tea herself.
02/01. Adin baked Apple Cinnamon Bread Pudding. Yummy!
03/01. Back to teach at TBI! One student only? Apparently they were still on holoday. So, we just played Pictureka cards. OMG, I lost the instruction? While searching in the internet, I found this threa :" Help! My kid threw away the instruction for Pictureka!" Hahaha... same here...
04/01. Taught 3 classes today, pretty exhausted.... Spent teh night watching for Alyssa's Ugly Duckling assembly on DVD. Alyssa massaged e and Acha tucked me in to bed with blanket. Acha also told me bed time stories about a dragon that brned Princess Alyssa and Prince Adin. You two are so sweet, girls :)
05/01. Acha practised writing, First, she wrote : Acha is funny. Then, Bunda (mommy) is funny. Then, Ayah (daddy) is kind. Then, Adin likes cooking. Last, Alyssa is always angry... Hahaha...
06/01. We went to Crayon to buy beads for making bracelet and necklace. Saw some gorgeous miniature of vegetable and fruit stalls made from clay. Bought Agri-Doll which can grow grass hair on their head if we water them everyday.
07/01. Alyssa learned digi-scrap with Photoshop CS5. Her first project was about her outbound adventure 2 weeks ago. You rock, girl! She even wanted to learned extraction this time. Next, she wants to learn how to change eyes' color.

Thanks! :) That's what made the templates appealing! I need something quick and easy to keep up with. We have lots of changes this year, so I didn't want to get behind like every other year! :P

I am doing the entire album B&W this year! My first year I desaturated the pictures. Then the last two years I did full color. I liked the look of the B&W, so I thought I would give that a try this year! :)

Sarah- those are amazing! I think I might have to try this for my kids this year. I may just make it a P12, though, since that will make it only 36 LOs "required" for me to do for the year for my 3 kids. I would love to have them each have a book of each year since birth. It would be really easy for me to do that with my youngest- since I got a digital 2 weeks after she was born. But I really could go through some of my old photos of my other 2 and make them books, too! TFS!
